Wally (Japanese: Mitsuru) is one of the two rival characters in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire, the other being Brendan / May. While Polk often leaves the meaning behind these symbols, and the repetition of the same characters, up to the audience’s interpretation, she did shed some light on one.
